The Cincinnati men's basketball program is saddened to report that Fritz Meyer, a member of the 1963 national runner-up team and prominent alumni liaison, has passed away at 80.

Fritzie was a family friend. He was a nice and honorable man. -
He was a long time Hamilton County Jury Commissioner. I had a stretch where I was called to serve on juries 4 times in 9 years, and I struck up a few UC basketball conversations with him. The last time he gave me “you again” and we both laughed about it. He was wearing his Final Four ring from 1963. RIP.Comment
