The athletic department announced that all tickets would now be sold via Ticketmaster. I hope we still use gobearcats.com and link to TM like the Pacion in the past. I'm sure every broker has fees, but I'm in the if it ain't broke why fix it camp. I'm not a fan of TM and can't see the benefit to UC fans, or even the ticket office. Anyone know why we made this switch?

Per John Cunningham, seatgeek.com did not bid on the new contract. Also, there will be no fees for season ticketholders and gobearcats.com will remain the portal to purchases. I don't know how well this will work. Ticketmaster.com will apply a 15% fee (which is far less than their normal rates) to secondary market purchases.Originally posted by red_n_black_attack View PostThe athletic department announced that all tickets would now be sold via Ticketmaster. A completely tone deaf move to fan experience. This loser company has a rich history in consumer exploitation and has had to settle legally in the 10’s of millions for corrupt behavior. Another sad coffin nail in UC’s (to a larger extent, college athletics) athletic experience development. Somehow UC managed this just fine in house for decades.
