Stephen McElroy has advanced the 400M and 4x400 finals in the U20 category at the World Championships.

McElroy won the Silver medal in the 400m competition. So if I'm parsing this right he's the 2nd fastest under 20 runner in the world at 400m

Shout out to the Track and Field athletes and staff. The last two weekends, the team has had indoor meets and destroyed a bunch of school records.

Back to back conference championships for the indoor season

This is great news being a retired track guy and retired track official for UC. If someone has the time and ambition, please compare UC's best efforts to that of the Big 12. Fred Moudani is absolutely tearing up the UC record books in the Shot Put this year.

There's been a few Track and FIeld moments recently that I've missed but Coach Seaton just posted that Leonie Troeger just won gold in the Penn Relays in the Javelin and that is pretty huge.

The Bearcats last AAC track and field meet. We have a whole lot of great athletes on both the women's and men's side of the team. Bearcats Ready For AAC Outdoor Championships - University of Cincinnati Athletics (gobearcats.com) I would have really liked for this to be hosted at UC so that I could attend.

Both the men's and women's teams finished 3rd in the final AAC championship. For the men's, Houston was 2nd and UC 3rd. For the women's, UCF was 1st, Houston was 2nd, and UC 3rd. It looks like the best in track and field are leaving the AAC for the Big 12. A # of UC men and women competing in the NCAA prelims in Jacksonville next week, looking for a spot in the championships next month in Austin, TX

I know nothing about how these events work, but it appears that the top 12 from each event will advance to Austin and the following individuals are seeded highly / would seem to have the best chance of qualifying:

Leonie Troeger, seeded 3rd out of 48 in the Women's javelin
Rylee Penn, seeded 4th out of 48 in the Women's 1500 run
Taylor Beard, seeded 5th out of 48 in the Women's high jump
Kylie Facey, seeded 10th out of 48 in the Women's 100M hurdles

Fred Moudani Likibi, seeded 4th out of 48 in the Men's shot put
