New Conference Name

So a funny thing just happened. I tweeted that I was guessing that our new conference would the American Metro Conference. I put my kid to bed. I come back and Blaudschun has tweeted " looks like it's going to be the American Metro"

American Athletic Conference

Kind of bland, but at least they have a name now!

Brett McMurphy is reporting that it will be the American Athletic Conference, rather than American Metro Conference.

well, given the other conferences have numbers that don't match their school membership, this works for me.

I like the name. No matter what the choice I knew we would here the complaints, that's how it is in the age of social media, Internet, talk radio etc. Shrill negative voices are amplified above reasonable discourse.
