I assume that Kelvin Sampson voted for Memphis. However, in the back of his mind (or the front), he knows he has the team to beat.
[Or did the local media vote, not the coaches? ... Never mind. Per the AAC website, the coaches voted & were not permitted to vote for their own team or players.]Last edited by swilsonsp4; 10-12-2022, 10:17 AM.

That will not get us an invitation to the dance. Only 2 teams (maybe 3 if the conference shows really strong) from the AAC will be there so we have to either place second or win the conference tourney. The only exemption would be if UC wins the Maui.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostUC #59 in ESPN's BPI

Maui is going to be a learning experience. I don't expect any W's but we will learn exactly what we have and what we need to work on. Evaluations against that level of competition is much more realistic and beneficial than lopsided wins over inferior competition. I am hopeful that we have better floor leaders, more assists, better rebounding and much better shot selection. We can build from that but I am concerned expectations may be a bit too high at this point. I think by the start of conference play, we should be a pretty competitive unit and hopefully can be in the discussion for post season play.

As swilsonsp4 notes, there is not enough data at this point but couldn't resist posting:
If Isaiah Collier cares about Ken Pom numbers, well UC is #54 and USC is #55
