I think it would have to be a super sweet NIL deal for a player to give a large chunk to the university for room/board and classes they may not care much about. I'd look for the 13 scholarship thing to stay in tact informally, though technically someone with a 7-8 figure NIL deal could choose to "walk-on", I think there is a status symbol attached unfairly to walk-on players versus scholarship.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post
I guess there is no reason to rush right now unless the perfect player for the staff is available and someone they can get.
At this point, seems like 12 of the 13 spaces are accounted for (assuming CJF returns), though last year at this time Mika Adams-Woods was slated to return then things changed. Also, in this new era, you are probably not limited 13 scholarships per se (with NIL money money covering someone not officially on scholarship) but I don't love the idea of carrying an extra player like that -- hard enough to keep 13 guys happy with playing time; now try 14.Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

Best info I can find is post SJU visit a few days ago and he did not commit, so I'm assuming it's on. Nothing on the social side to indicate either way. It's not going to surprise me if he double dips on this visit and gets in some time at XU.Originally posted by red_n_black_attack View Post
Does anyone know is Kerr Kriisa is keeping his scheduled visit for today, 4/17?Brent Wyrick

Tyler Bilodeau from Oregon St is on the radar for the coaches. 6'9 Multipositional big man. Would have 2 years remaining.

My hope if not for a pure floor leader although Connor H. is said to make few mistakes, is to get a guy with more than one year and if he is productive, keep him.Originally posted by Lobot View PostTyler Bilodeau from Oregon St is on the radar for the coaches. 6'9 Multipositional big man. UC among the many to reach out to Yohan Traore https://twitter.com/247HSHoops/statu...84516773773355Originally posted by Lobot View PostYohan Traore is in the portal 6’11 C that’s a former UC target . 5 star that started at Auburn and is currently at UC Santa Barbara.
6'11 C from France who averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 rebounds this year as a sophomore. Surprisingly has not blocked many shots.

Sounds like NKU's Warrick is likely Missouri bound. Cannot say UC would have gotten him, but I imagine their pursuit ended when they took Hickman -- who probably fits the roster best anyways.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post

Someone told me today unofficially he is not visiting. I'd be surprised any more players would be added in the backcourt.Originally posted by Lobot View Post

Seton Hall senior Dre Davis plans to enter the transfer portal, sources told ESPN. Averaged 15.0 points and 5.9 rebounds this season. Was terrific in the Pirates’ run to an NIT title, scoring 18 points in the championship game win over Indiana State.

Maybe. I think the guys they've brought in are overrated. All three are negative defenders and only Mayo is an efficient scorer.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostKansas adds A.J. Storr -- a Wisconsin guard ranked among the top 10 or so transfers.
Jayhawks may be loaded next season.
